Where to Send Yarn for Hurricane Relief?

Greetings All - A couple of friends had some extraneous yarn they knew they wouldn't use, and wondered if there's someplace to send it for the hurricane victims.

I apologize if this has been posted before. I didn't google the subject, just went to the experts first.

Thank you,

Eva (threaded in rctn)

Eva, I HAD a bunch of locations, with actual contacts to send yarn and afghans and washcloths, etc to, but have since passed them on to so many others that I no longer have them. Hope one of the people that I gave the info to can help you! Noreen

The YARNWRIGHT

We had a Weavers and Spinners Guild meeting last Saturday where some members offered to share, and those who were flooded out said no thank you, they have no place to store it!! Likewise, those whose homes were only(!) partly destroyed have no time or energy for fiber work at present, they are just so shattered.

Maybe if you offer again in a few months, when people have their "heads back on" it will be eagerly received.
