Autumn, Apples and Baking - ~OT~

Something about even a hint of Autumn in the air causes me to bake. I just popped a glorious pan of Apple Crisp in the oven. Anyone want some?

Oooh...sounds good. Do you have a recipee?

DH went to the farmer's market yesterday and brought home a large bag of apples.

Oh yeah, and 2 big grocery bags FULL of potatoes. For $6, what a bargain. Filling our little kitchen!

National Apple Harvest Festival is coming up. Smoked apple sausage, hot apple cider, funnel cakes.................anyone else going to be there? (Ten miles north of Gettysberg near Arendtsville. Has to be "near" because the festival is held in the middle of farm country. You park elsewhere and then take a shuttle bus to the event.)

If you guys hurry over, you can share dinner with us, too: Grilled Peppercorn Pork Tenderloin, roasted New Potatoes with butter, garlic, and Romano and fresh garden herbs...

I love cooking pork tenderloin. It's impossible to screw up.

Strange taking about apples. DH brought some windfalls down of son's garden. I said I had not made an apple snow for sometime. At least I can use Splenda to sweeten the apples. Shirley

There is something wonderful about drinking hot apple cider on a brisk autumn day. Oh, and being with a good friend sharing girl talk!
