Vicki, that is so gorgeous. I love the colour scheme. It is something that I would wear. Shirley

I like it except for those red seed beads too. I realize, the scanner pic may be off, and I might like it in person. Other than that, I think it's really pretty!

Get a color wheel and check out a couple of books on color theory from teh library. Learning teh basics of color theory will help with design immensely.

EVERYONE, for the opinions! whether you liked it or not.i knew there was SOMETHING not quite right, which is why i asked.i did re-do it, and posted the new picture. it's REALLY weird, and i may take it apart yet again and use the suggestion to put the "red" beads in between the hearts/blacks. maybe that will help.

i think part of what is throwing me is that the "red" in person really does seem to match the raspberry hearts i've been saving for over a year to use with this, but when i put them on the scanner, they don't seem to match. and now i'm not sure if it's my eyes that are off [totally possible] or the scanner!

I have NO sense of color and the stuff that goes with it. For example, Kandice puts together such wonderful swoonworthy color combos... I'm not in that league, color-sense-wise.

I like that more. But yes, maybe the red beads would work.

That looks softer. Now that i've actually had some sleep, i would agree that the raspberry beads were what was making it not seem right. It is a lovely piece. It's still not something I'd wear, but that's only because i'm a super simple girl. Scanners have a way of distorting colours, i've noticed. So do digital cameras. The colours of the quilts on my website are not true...and that kinda bugs me.

]It could be the scanner. Trust your own instincts. I was also wondering, ]do the "red" seeds have an iridescent coating? That could give a different ]impression to the naked eye. Design wise, it's great. Um, I did like the ]"twist" better with the pink included - it matched the focal . ] ]* TL *

LOL!!!!!!!! well, the two pinks were the only "light" colors. i thought maybe it was the contrast that was throwing me off.

as for the iridescent coating, yeah, they do. sort-of.

The colors look good, but need to be......Not sure how to put this.....either more or less organized. More organized would make the necklace more striking, and less organized would add blended flow. Hard to explain. :)

I don't use a color wheel. I don't really use anything except my own imagination. Color comes easily for me - but I have seen some color combos I wouldn't have put together myself, and they look absolutely wonderful! I get inspired by nature and by fashion as well. Tink - I think you have great color sense - it's just different from mine.
