I am guessing that the reds are really raspberry with an ab coating. I have used them and they really do tend more towards a pinky red than magenta or real red. They look nice in the finished piece, IMNSHO.

hmmm. when i can get away from all the typing today, i'm going to have to go back to the "drawing board" so to speak.

thanks, Tina.

My question, too. How do you get twisted strands not to unwind, anyone who knows?

i've been playing with this one for a long time.

the only tricks i have come up with so far:

when the multiple threads go through the intermediate beads, make sure they are twisted tightly, too. i've used crimps on some, too. on this piece, i even kept the strands twisted together when i put them through the clasp and back through the crimp beads again. so far, they haven't tried to untwist. maybe it's the "wire" in the Fireline?

Or it could be one of my favorite Toho colors: Raspberry Gold Luster. Not exactly rainbow, or luster or AB... but with a warm shimmer to it that comes from real gold.

**grin** well, it would drive my grandmother crazy. [Midwestern] right along with red/pink or just about anything with red other than white or black. i think you weren't supposed to wear colors "close together" on the color wheel together????

Instinct is always the best thing to use, IMNSHO. No art class is really necessary. Art class is just for fun! :)
