OT: Ever see a dog spit?

Until yesterday, I had never seen a dog pucker up and spit. But Sophie the Wonder Dog was trying to supplement her diet with kleenex (again), and I caught her again. I didn't even have to say anything, just gave her the Look Of Death. (all parents will know about this look)

Sophie dropped the kleenex, backed up, then puckered up and spit! A hunk of kleenex went flying across the room. We both watched it arc, then Sophie ran off for parts unknown, because she knows darned well that eating kleenex is a forbidden activity.

I didn't even yell at her because I was so astonished. Seeing a dog pucker is weird, to say the least. Since this is an entirely new behavior, I assume it's related to Sophie being a toothless little dog. But still - seeing a dog spit isn't exactly something you expect.

Kathy N-V, who didn't think her dog was part llama.

We had a dog (before Schatze) who loved Dinty Moore Beef Stew -- except for the peas.

Every time she came across one in her dish -- Pi-tooey! Bank shot off the refridgerator into the middle of the kitchen floor. :-P

Lol! Too funny.

When I was in high school, my mom had cooked a t-bone. After dinner, she put the bone in the trash. While no one was looking, our dog pulled it out and went to the back door like he had to go out. My mom thought he was acting funny because he held his head down, wouldn't look up, wouldn't look at us. We got down on his level and could see about 1/2" of the t-bone sticking out. He couldn't quite hide the whole thing in his mouth. Busted!!
