OT: My Darling Daughter

DD spent the day at a local day spa getting the full tune up as her belated birthday present. I thought she looked great beforehand, but the spa treatment added a little gilding to the lily, and she looked and felt spectacular afterward.

Considering the emotional state that is common to fourteen year old girls, I thought that this mood booster would do her a world of good. (it did!) She told me that she really felt like a beautiful girl for the first time.

P.S.: Jabba the Hut made a cameo appearance in one of the child's pictures. Pay no attention to Jabba - she won't hurt you. She's just on boatloads of medications which blimp her out and keep her from sleeping. The child insisted that Jabba not crop herself out of the picture. feh.

Manda is beautiful. Even without makeup. She takes after her parents (I've never seen a picture of DH so I can only guess that she has the qualities of both). Her inner beauty shines through.

Awwwww! I did get to see. Manda is beaming! And that can't be Jabba! She's too pretty and besides she's wearing beads! Jabba the hut doesn't wear beads!
