Does weather effect your crafting projects

I have had a very hard time sitting doing my cross stitch project. With the weather being 77*F and beautiful. And this time change is not helping at all...I only have 12 pages to do on my cross stitch. Then on to the next. Have 4 afghans to make for gifts. And I need noise at night(TV programs are terrible this year). So I play on the computer, just to get away from them. I already tried music it does not work. Does anyone else feel this way...... Have you tried listening to books on tape while you work? I've listened to zillions of them in the last year and as a result have got more sewing and stitching and crocheting done than I would have otherwise. I made a gorgeous Irish crochet bonnet for my new DGD last week while listening to two titles of James Patterson's 'Women's Murder Club' - now I think I'm hooked on Irish crochet. And James Patterson. (Pardon the pun).

Oh definitely.

In cold weather, especially since we've been keeping the heat down, I want to knit.

If the birds are calling, I want to stitch something simple while I listen on the deck.

Gray rainy days, I can stitch all day.

Sometimes. When it's really nice out I just want to be outdoors. But, I actually got sunglass readers, and have on those days gone to sit outdoors with some music, and a cool drink, and stitching. OTOH, I'm more frequently interrupted to go play with Puckster or do something more active.

The computer is the biggest deterrent to stitching, or knitting, or reading. I spend WAY too much time here, and could have finished a zillion projects if it were not for this durned communication machine. It got to the mid-80s today, which was a bit hot. The bad frost earlier took it's toll of my Hibiscus bushes . After thought, and much discussion with him, the yard couple took up all the plants in the front of the house. They MAY have come back, but I planted then too close together 12 years ago.

So I have a long raised bed, adjoining the house, with nothing in it. It gets morning to early afternoon sun, and will be perfect for veggies.

Can't wait to get them in the ground .
