Firehouse Angel Update

I know you are sick, but for Heaven's sake stop being so anal!! Vic, you are so "on again" and "off again" on this project, that your comments are like a leaf blowing in the wind.

Several times you swore you would leave this group for ever............but you didn't!!

Take care of yourself, and commune with nature in your garden. That is probably excellent calming therapy!!

The original chart that was sent along with the Angel has absolutely NOTHING marked on it. The copies I have have no names or signatures on them either. I'm not sure where the chart with the stuff written on it went but it's not with the Angel -- sorry. That's why I thought it didn't need to be included. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Actually, the original chart is in pristine condition.

I could have sworn I just read where you said you didn't need recognition.

I'll be really crude and say that's a bunch of bullshit -- all you had to do was look at the return address on the tube to see who sent it! Besides, I either posted to RCTN or e-mailed you that I had the frame in my possession and would be returning it to you. Regardless of WHO sent the frame to you, you could have posted that you received it -- you posted often enough about how much it meant to you and how badly you wanted it returned!! If there were no wing nuts, that's because they weren't sent to MOI. I have no need of random wing nuts (I dislike them about as much as I dislike floss bobbins -- LOL) but if you want, I would be more than happy to replace the wing nuts for you.

If you send me an estimate of your total costs, I will reimburse you for the full amount out of the monies sent to me for framing, etc. OR out of my own pocket as MY contribution to this project. NO WAY do I want to have to hear you tell us about everything you lost because of this project!

I don't need recognition from the recipients. I don't need it from you either, but I do like to set things straight.

Yeah, buy a wingnut, you need one.

Well that's just too bad. You said you'd pay me for the materials a long time ago and never did. Maybe this is just more bullshit from you? BTW, the return address was fully ripped from the tube. I owe nobody an explanation.

Will do -- I did say I was mostly brain dead from a week+ with the SMDGD :-)! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I just got an e-mail from the person who returned the scroll rods to MOI. She had put the wing nuts in a plastic baggie and had put a note on the tube saying that the rattle inside the tube was OK. I'm not sure if I left the wing nuts in the baggie or put them back on the ends of the scroll rods (I seem to think I put them back on the ends but don't know that for certain) but they WERE in the package when it was mailed. Maybe the person who conveniently ripped off ONLY the return address (convenient wasn't that) also managed to steal the wing nuts????? Makes a body wonder don't it??

How about giving recognition, Victoria? Do you believe in giving recognition on a job well done, even when you didn't think it would get done? Could you just possibly say "wow, guys, good job!" instead of souring the pot even more with your petty groaning over who paid for what?

I recall that Tia Mary said she'd pay you if you provided her with an estimate that time, too. Did you do that? Because I'll happily chip in if it will shut you up. This would have been such a lovely experience if it weren't for you getting weird on everybody over how long it took and how much control you should have.

It's not done yet.

Jumping in where I probably don't belong, I'm going to give my opinion on this whole mess. Why? because as I've said to my friends, "Don't mistake my silence as acceptance."

I feel truly sorry for Victoria. I'll be the first to admit...yeah, I've found her to be a bit harsh and hard to get along with...but I really can't hate her for that. I'm not the easiest person to get along with either and I know that I'm a misunderstood soul too. I think Victoria is misunderstood more than anything.

Victoria, take pride in the fact that you gave birth to this wonderful idea. In my eyes, you will always be the mother and founder of the Firehouse Angel...whether you want the credit or not, I'm going to give it to you. Unfortunately, there are people in this world that I call shirt-tale riders and skirt-tale riders. These are the people that couldn't form an original thought if it bit them in the ass. They piss me off to no end. As soon as someone like you or I create a plan, they jump on it and do everything in their power to take control. It's a shame that you've had to learn about "trust" the hard way and had this torn out of your hands. But I guess you can walk away with your head held high now and know that you have nothing to do with the embarrassment that this project has become. The work itself is beautiful, but it carries with it a lot of bad vibes and that's a GD shame!

I'm not sure you are mocking me or are being sincere, so I'll go with the better of me and think you're sincere.

Indeed this project was immediately overtaken by several people on this newsgroup to the point where I was told it wasn't MY project, it was their project.

I backed out for the reason you illustrate here. I have nothing to be ashamed of, and my behavior has been appropriate. I have already stitched and framed and delivered something of note to the men who save our lives daily. It is signed, anonymous with love.

It's hanging right in the spotlight at the station.

I wish someone would just keep the angel and hang it in their house. It's gotten so ugly it's almost funny.
