Kathie, Lou, Denise, and Carolyn,



Hi to those from Ohio! I lived in Newark from 5th grade until I graduated from "Nerk" high school. What a campus for a high school. Though we moved a lot due to my dad being transfered quite a bit, I still think of Nerk as home. My husband grew up in Marion.



Now I live in Cols. and raised my kids here. My 30 yr. old daughter and friends, though they have lived or do live in Chicago, San Francisco, and other large cities, all plan come back to Ohio as the ideal place to raise their children.



My daughter is presently living in Kent (her husband is in school-second career- so I would be interested in any shops up that way too.

Thanks Brenda. Don't know when I will be up that way soon. Seems like most of our activites this summer are centered in the Cols. area. My daughter is distressed that the JoAnn's closed. They are busy folks so I got her a complete set of DMC floss for Christmas last year. We go to Cross My Heart when she is in town.

Ah, a Mom after me own heart! The local JoAnn's was small and dingy but at least they were a convenient place to get floss and needles and they didn't sneer at me when I would buy lots of floss which needed to be scanned separately. The JoAnn's superstore in Hudson is nice but it is a trek to get over there. I do know exactly where Stitch, Piece 'n Purl is since I just had a meeting this week at the office next door but didn't have time to run in and check it out.
