I actually saw the fabric while I was chatting with Liz, and turned around to see some of the charts that were on a rack, several of them were M Designs "word" patterns & ornaments, and a few others that were done with a lot of white on dark fabric... And I said" One of these would look GREAT on this!" and settled on the snowflake.... but they didn't have Gloriana, so I chose Weeks instead..... Funny thing about the fabric is that the LNS had ordered it in error - this fabric is the crystal version and has the iridescent threads running through it, and they had *meant* to order the version without that.... My gain :D

Ended up spending about $30....

Very nice. I think I've recently seen this done and waiting for framing. Personally, I really like the Phantom, Gothic, and the Meditation for that design as well as the DaVinci. Sure it will be beautiful. I really like that particular Weeks "white" - I've used it in a few things - it's very nice.

There was another white there that I could have used, but there was a more blueish tint to it, and there's enough blue in the fabric - this one has more of a pinkish tone - stands out against the fabric more, but still matches well with what little pinkish there is in the fabric.

They have started a "wish list".... and I asked them if I could put on there "one of everything" LOL

I keep waiting to win the lottery - I guess I should buy some lottery tickets to aid that along, eh?

I will - but I have to finish a project for Mom's B-day first - - it's next month! And then I've a couple other projects to finish at the same time - this one is for displaying next year's holiday season!

LOL - there is a tv commercial series which shows a parent forcing their 3 year old to play tennis - and asks "is this your retirement plan?" DH and I have told people we're like that with the lottery. Though in truth we weren't playing too often - now we're signed up for a weekly subscription thro the state. We figure at least the $$ go to education. And who knows...maybe our retirement.

I know that feeling. I'm hopeful to cycle around to something for this holiday season. But, you never know. OTOH, I'd be happy just to have the house finally clean and unpacked, and repairs done.
