I just heard a ballad called Rising Tide sung by Nathan Rogers, son of Stan. Apparently he has just put out his first album. They did not say whether he wrote the song, it was not bad. His voice is not as rich as his fathers was, but maybe will strengthen.
Anyway, if you see it, he is the son and nephew.
Is Cheryl as Stan Rogers fan? Wonders never cease. DH went to hear Garnet not too long ago, while I pouted at home, too sick to go.

Yes, she is as I recall. Well you should both come up one summer for the Stan Rogers festival. For sure this son will sing there this year and Garnet never misses it.
I'll have to see if I can find a website that I can listen to it!

He played Marblehead in January, Haverill in March. He'll be in Newton in July. He's in and out of this area pretty frequently.

Oh, my - more fans of the brothers Rogers. We have a picture of Nathan at about 14 years old on a workshop stage at the Mariposa Folk festival, leading the singing of "Barrett's Privateers"
We never saw Stan live, although we have all his cd's including the radio plays that he composed the music to(Poetic Justice). His "Northwest Passage" was recently chosen #1 of the top Canadian songs (in some very tough competition).

Well, GR will be in Londonderry next month, but $$ are tight and time is tighter....:(

Ah, well, that's a whole different set of issues than no one to go with. I'll be in South Carolina that week. Need to decide if I can get back in time and if it's worth trying to convince DH that Londonderry isn't that far. Maura O'Connell is playing there earlier in the month as well...
