Shaking stands can be a frustrating issue for many users, especially if it affects the quality of your work. Here are a few tips that may help resolve the problem:

  1. Check the legs: Make sure the legs of the stand are firmly attached and tightened. If any of the legs are wobbly or not properly secured, the stand may shake.
  2. Adjust the height: The height of the stand can also affect stability. If the stand is too tall, it may be more likely to shake. Try adjusting the height to a more comfortable level.
  3. Check the floor surface: Make sure the floor is level and free of any obstacles that may cause the stand to shake. Consider placing a rubber mat under the stand to help reduce vibration.
  4. Check the weight distribution: If the weight of your project is not balanced on the stand, it may cause the stand to shake. Try redistributing the weight evenly across the stand to help reduce the shaking.
  5. Consider adding weights: If all else fails, consider adding weights to the stand to increase its stability. You can place weights on the legs or on the stand itself to help reduce the amount of shaking.

If these tips do not resolve the problem, it may be necessary to seek help from the manufacturer or a professional. It is important to ensure that your equipment is working properly to ensure the quality of your work and to prevent any potential health issues.

Is the base half on the carpet and half on the bare floor? That is how mine is. I put a piece of foam under the part that's on the bare floor to even it out. You could use cardboard.

As I was stitching I noticed my stand shaking a little. But I keep one hand on the back of the scroll frame and hold it steady while I am using the needle. Pulling the thread through it doesn't matter if it shakes a little to me.

Still would be helpful if we knew what stand you are using...
