What stitching would you take to a desert island?--on topic

I said she owes me one, not that I expect to get it.

In a former thread YOU declared you like fighting with me , i never declared something like that ,,, mirjam

No, but your condescending tone via your word choice either shows you think we are a bunch of boors incapable of art or craft or your command of the English language is not as you would have us believe.

That's not the point. I do enjoy sparring with you sometimes, and I particularly enjoyed pointing out that you can be unkind after you insisted that you are never unkind, but I did not call you names. Thus you are either making a false accusation or you are mistaken. Either way, you owe me an apology.

Hey, shouldn't that be "bores" in this context, as opposed to the wild pig?

ELLICE! A wild pig is a "boar." *snicker* A boor is an uncultured person, who may also be a bore.

Have you looked in the Mirror lately , i never thought nore expressed nore hinted any of the above , my only repeated statement is ' That Even if i have different ideas, different answers , different solutions,, i have my Full right to express them just as anybody else. The only difference in our point of view is that i take the opportunity and study your culture , while you refuse to accept, that there is any different culture than yours. mirjam

LOL - all are correct, depending on Cheryl's intent.

"a boar is a male pig; a boor is a person with rude, clumsy manners and little refinement; a bore is one that is wearingly dull, repetitive, or tedious" Source: Roget's New MillenniumĀ Thesaurus, First Edition (v 1.3.1)

But Madam That is the point , because You keep sparring [ whichever you call it] with me Because You enjoy it , and enjoy that your cheerleaders clap their hands in joy. and after you throw piles and piles of dirt on me , and i refuse to agree to that, and answer you back,,, you roll your eyes to the sky and demand an apology ,,, had i been one of your crowd with your kinds of words i might find some unkind answer ,,, but i refuse to say things like that ,, kindergarten years are over long ago. mirjam

Her "command" of the English language has been proven time and again to be a figment of her imagination, as she argues with native speakers that they are using words wrong. It never dawns on her that SHE may be the one using the word wrongly.

You'd better RD&H, referring to a non-kosher animal in the same breath as MJ!

You still haven't answered my question - where did I call you names?

Instead, you now accuse me of throwing dirt on you. So, where did I throw dirt on you and where did I call you names? Provide evidence, or admit that you were mistaken and apologize. How hard is that for an honorable person?

And shall I point it out, the next time you say something unkind, since you claim that you refuse to be unkind?

You have your full right to express your opinion and so does everybody else here, yet you complain when others express their opinions. Apparently those who express opinions contrary to yours are "heaping dirt on you."

And I'd like to know how you draw the conclusion that Cheryl doesn't accept that there is any culture different than hers. It seems to me that you are the one refusing to accept that we might play a little game about being desserted on an island. How is that not criticising our culture? How is that studying it?
