Congratulations Sandy!

The quilt looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe the detail in those small blocks. What a great idea to use the 'celebration' block as a center.

Oh, and I wanted to tell you that I can see the pale lavender and the pale yellow just fine. I can't tell if you have the same situation as I did, but I was seeing pale washed out colors recently when I tried to find fabrics online. Turns out they were due to a new computer. I had to set up the monitor to my liking. (I usually just adjust the bright button.... but there are a whole bunch more).

Thanks, Lisa. :) I'd never have tried to piece those itsy-bitsy things in the traditional way, but paper piecing made them pretty easy. ;)

I did substitute a better photo this morning, so the colors are a bit easier to see now. :)

Very nice! Did you keep track how much yardage of each fabric you had to use to make this top? What is the finished size?

Thanks, Ginger. :) It's 15 1/4" square, but I didn't keep track of the yardage at all, unfortunately. It's all fabric I had in my stash, though I was really afraid I was going to run out of the lavender before the BOM ended. I have only a couple of inches left of that, or I'd have done double corded piping in yellow and lavender instead of single piping in the yellow.

Exquisite, Sandy. Simply exquisite! And you used some of my favorite colors too!

Thanks, Michelle. :) I'd picked out the floral first and then some black, lavender and purple from my stash, but then I needed to brighten it up a bit, so the yellow (fairy frost) did the trick. All of it was from my stash, so it was a "free" project. ;)

Thanks, Musicmaker. :) Making such small blocks meant that one a month was a pretty easy commitment to keep to -- and it gave me a good excuse to procrastinate about other things. ;)

Thanks, Amy. :) DH loves purple (and I'm rather fond of it, too), so I do use it fairly often.

The yellow was a perfect touch, Sandy. I love the black background. I tend to choose black over white for the background more often than not.

Black seems to make vibrant colors glow. :)

Thanks, Michelle. :) I do like dark backgrounds and use them frequently, but I like black and dark navy almost equally.
