Finished another one- errr..... 25!

This wallhanging is a bit 'unique'? My decorating style is contemporary/cottage/Victorian... and all girly. People say my house decor looks just like me. I'm never quite sure if that's a compliment or what. VBG But the wallhanging suits the room, so I'm happy.

It's made up of 25 mini quilts. I learned Sally Terry's method of Hooked Feathers quilting with it. Each little quiltlet is quilted in a different feathered pattern and then joined together. I learned it's not wise to learn and design and plan as you do the FMQing- the stitch length is one too many skills to attempt all at once. And I wish I hadn't started quilting the top ones and working down. The quality of the quilt stitching improves from top to bottom! The white areas are the wall showing thru and, yes, I still have some painting to do in this room! ;-)

Lesley, that WH is absolutely charming, and what an original design. I love it. Very clever, you are. Hugs Bronnie

I've never seen anything like this Leslie...it's a wonderful piece of art! I like your house too and how you have it decorated, just lovely. Donna

It is very unique and I really like it, Les. Great fabrics and I love feathers. The hangy bits are particularly interesting to me. Except I'd want to play with them. Tactile people like me are going to reach out and touch it, we can't help ourselves. Keep a ruler handy to smack hands.

Yes it is unique! I like how you added the "holes" too. Allison

Very unique, Leslie. Your house is very attractive, so I think your friends' remarks are meant as a compliment. :-) I can tell that your furbabies are not of the cat variety. My QI, Charley, would have those dainty china cups on the floor in no time at all. :-)

Best regards, Michelle
