Monster qiult update #3

Its handed in at the quilt show - trimming the quilt and binding it worked wonders

I almost forgot to add a sleeve so ended up adding that on the premises LOL - it was that or miss the hand in deadline :-S

guess that's the price you pay for having a fun am with the kids

Our show hand-in day is tomorrow -- every year I see women sitting in the parking lot, finishing the sleeve or binding. (Not me! I always finish my quilts at LEAST 10 hours before the deadline! LOL)

This year I'm *quite* early. Last sleeve was finished on the 10th. I do have to attach the guild-required paper labels, but those will just be safety pinned on. Both quilts will probably get blocked this afternoon.

My show handin date is Thursday. I'm drowning. Can't post or even do much reading until I can finish this thing. Will never, ever, ever do this again. If I finish, I will post a photo, an update and the whole long miserable story so rest of you can laugh at me and feel terribly superior. LOL.

Good job Jessamy! Good job, everybody who finishes ahead of those darned deadlines!

Nothing scary about it -- I entered mine as non-judged. *grin*

Nothing against getting judged. It's just that one year when I entered mine and the judging sheet came back and complained that the "red in center of quilt is distracting" when there was no red anywhere on the quilt, I started questioning what I was really learning by having a quilt judged. (Yes, I checked with the scribe, and that's what the judge said. The scribe was scratching her head over that too! LOL)

ahh yes well - we don't get to see what the judge thinks - just get the results - the first 3 placed winners

we also don't have no judged entries unless on closer viewing the quilt is deemed not according to the rules (too big for instance)

Whoo hoo Jess!

Can't wait to see a pic of the finished product.
