Its handed in at the quilt show - trimming the quilt and binding it worked wonders

I almost forgot to add a sleeve so ended up adding that on the premises LOL - it was that or miss the hand in deadline :-S

guess that's the price you pay for having a fun am with the kids

Our show hand-in day is tomorrow -- every year I see women sitting in the parking lot, finishing the sleeve or binding. (Not me! I always finish my quilts at LEAST 10 hours before the deadline! LOL)

He-he! The latest I have left it (so far >g,) is half an hour!! . In message , Kathy Applebaum writes

Woohoo! :) Congratulations on getting it finished and turned in on time, Jessamy! Let us know how the show goes. :)

Congratulations ! Can we see pics now or do we have to wait till the show is over ?? Always curious... :-)) Heidi from Germany "Jessamy" schrieb:

please remove quilt from address

as I said I for got the sleeve or it would have been done the night before LOL

so are you entering yours?

thanks I will! show starts Thursday and ends Sunday so I can share by Sunday PM USA time ;-)

I have to wait till after the show so Sunday after I come home with the quit and before I rip the sleeve off I will share pics

Sunday night I will be sleeping under that quilt :D

This year I'm *quite* early. Last sleeve was finished on the 10th. I do have to attach the guild-required paper labels, but those will just be safety pinned on. Both quilts will probably get blocked this afternoon.

My show handin date is Thursday. I'm drowning. Can't post or even do much reading until I can finish this thing. Will never, ever, ever do this again. If I finish, I will post a photo, an update and the whole long miserable story so rest of you can laugh at me and feel terribly superior. LOL.

Good job Jessamy! Good job, everybody who finishes ahead of those darned deadlines!

Sunny

Yeah, I've got two going in. (My girlfriends twisted my arm.)

Sunny I said the same 2 years ago - since then I have designed and made 6 projects for a magazine (on deadlines) and another showquilt

never say never LOL

Nothing scary about it -- I entered mine as non-judged. *grin*

Nothing against getting judged. It's just that one year when I entered mine and the judging sheet came back and complained that the "red in center of quilt is distracting" when there was no red anywhere on the quilt, I started questioning what I was really learning by having a quilt judged. (Yes, I checked with the scribe, and that's what the judge said. The scribe was scratching her head over that too! LOL)

ahh yes well - we don't get to see what the judge thinks - just get the results - the first 3 placed winners

we also don't have no judged entries unless on closer viewing the quilt is deemed not according to the rules (too big for instance)

Whoo hoo Jess!

Can't wait to see a pic of the finished product.

Well done! Can't wait for the results! Roberta in D
