OT and not: Da weather

It is drizzly today. One of those, hey! I'll go for a walk, how bad can it be? type days. Well, when about 1/4 mile into the walk the drizzle turned harder and steadier, so that meant another 1/4 mile back home. Yes the hood was up on my sweatshirt. But still damp and cold. Nothing that a nice cup of hot tea couldn't fix!

Last week I noticed a spider hanging around, a rather large spider. She may be a orb spider, but will have to get my binoculars on her to look at details. She has not spun her web in an area between my porch overhang and the carport. This drizzle has embellished her web with tiny droplets of water, looking for all the world like a clear beading on the threads - just beautiful! And reminding me that today is a good day to create and quilt.

See - on topic!

Ginger in CA off to the post office to see if my package from Thangles is here - Joan inspired me to try that Orion Star!

It's a good day to stay in here as well but not because of the rain. It's

21F and cloudy. Once I get housecleaning done, I'll be back to the sewing room. I was tempted to order the pattern for Orion Star but resisted. Anxious to see yours.

Ginger,

The rain was great. I finished all 5 homework assignments that were due in my 2 classes so I spent all day yesterday working on the graduation quilt for my niece. Want it to be quite a aways long as I start a 3rd class next week, so for 5 weeks I will have 3 classes-- 2 of which are compressed from 16 weeks to 8 weeks so twice as much work to do.

Lets hope we keep up the wet stuff so that the hills will stay green.

They called for rain today. The skies are brilliantly blue, air is nicely cool to open all the windows and air out the place. I am going out to pull the myriad weeds that have sprouted up, before it gets too sunny in my yard.
