"Sparks of Lime" photos

aka - the green table runner! A week ago, it was sitting on a pile of projects (4 other table runners and a set of 6 placemats) - then my sister told me that her neighbour was hoping to give the green table runner to her daughter for a birthday gift - this weekend! I had to make a quick decision about the backing fabric and then pull together more ideas for quilting the segments. Two long sessions for the quilting and then the trimming and binding was done late last night - this morning I sat for 4hours hand sewing the binding (no finger boo- boo's so nonthimble not necessary yet) - tomorrow, our friend can take delivery of the runner - and wrap it up. Wonder what the b'day cake will be like? Hope, she saves me a piece. jennellh http://community/webshots/com/user/barnyowl

My mother has 2-3 thousand owls Jennel. Want me to keep you in mind if/when we have to thin them?

Jenn, here i come with another inane question. how ever do you go about choosing such gorgeous fabrics. they all seem so different yet they all go together in this design so beautifully. i spent ages drooling over #16 and #17, same place on the quilt but different angle pix. the lighting was a wee bit different as well. so what is the secret? j.

Wow! double and treble Wow! That is absolutely gorgeous, Jenn. The yellow one was terrific, but this one is out of this world. Your quilting is just amazing - and the way you took the photographs quite magical. Pity we have a small stretch of water between us (not to mention thousands of miles of land!!!). You might be able to teach me the breakthrough in my quilting >g< Congratulations on a marvellous piece of work (*another* marvellous piece of work) . In message , jennellh writes

It's amazing and beautiful!!!! It would probably take me two years to complete quilting like that. I think I need to come take quilting lessons from you! :)
