Jessie Update

Apr 03, 2005 70 Replies

I've been out of town for a week and just got back, and I sit here stunned. I swear I just talked to her. I haven't opened everything she sent me, I'm saving some to open when she is awake again... Jessie come back to us hon, we need you.

The kids and I plan to go to GA to be at the hospital on Sunday. We check in on Jessie. We are hoping to see their little sister, who has been out of state for the past week. I'll update you all as soon as I can.

Matt

Matt thanks for letting us know. Please let Jessie's mom know that I am praying for Jessie, but that I am thinking of her (P) and praying for her to have the strength to help all of you though this nightmare. I will be sending her a check for $40 on Wednesday. I have received no contributions in the last week but I know that our prayers for Jessie have not stopped. Tell Jessie when you see her, that we love her and miss her and want her back! For anyone still wanting to contribute, the Paypal account is snipped-for-privacy@comcast.net Thanks.

Sorry for the delayed update. Got in late on Sunday, then had to get the DS ready to fly back to MN, five hour drive to Atlanta both ways. My sisters will be tending to him, while I tend to DD and DGD.

Jessie is no longer be sedated, is breathing on her own, there is a trache tube in though. She is still in a coma, and has not opened her eyes yet; there are involuntary movements that occur. We do not know when Jessie will be released, but when she is, she will be moved to KY.

When the BF is release from the hospital, he will be going to live with his sister in GA. We do not know when he will be released.

Oh Matt, This is just so heart breaking!

Please know that all thoughts & prayers are going in your direction.

Thanks for the update matt. You have been great. I will continue to pray for Jessie. Let's pray she comes out of the comma soon.

Matt, thank you for the updates. I'm keeping Jessie and all her loved ones in my prayers and thoughts. Keep strong.

Matt, Where in Ky are they bringing her? Will she be in a long term care facility? My DH works in the big one they have here. (He is a Resp Therapist) All of the patients are either on life support or comatose. It is a very fine facility and they get excellent care.

Thanks a bunch Matt! Just glad you are taking the time to do this for all of us, it means a lot! I am glad that you will be able to stay and give your daughter the moral support she needs to finish the semester. I know it must be very tough on everyone. My prayers and those of my DH are with Jessie, her BF and all of those close to her who are trying to be so strong for her! Please do continue to let us know how things are going!

Just got back for GA. Jessie is still in a coma. Jessie's mother and the hospital social worker that does releasing of patients are looking where to place Jessie for the long-term care in KY.

Jessie's S.O. has been released from the hospital, and has been admitted to a rehab center in Augusta, GA. His sister and BIL live near the center.

:::continuing to send good thoughts to Jessie & everyone:::

Thank you for the update, Matt.

Oh man...thanks for letting us know...I hope you are able to continue to update us on her condition. My prayers are still going out for all of you in this very sad and trying time. Arleen in GA

Somehow I missed this! I've been looking too! Matt your in my prayers hon and we are praying that Jessie comes out of this... a coma is a way of protecting the brain so it can heal and I'm praying for a miraculous healing for Jessie. Let us know where she is in KY. I might take a drive down after she is there a while and settled. Give Danielle a hug for me and give yourself one!

Thank you for keeping us updated. We are all praying for her and her s.o.
