OT: Hurrican Dennis

I hope all of our FL friends are battening down the hatches and taking cover. I'll keep everyone in my prayers. I heard a few minutes ago it's up to a catagory 4. My Aunt isn't leaving with my Grandma, not even going to a shelter so please send good thoughts my Grandma's way and to all of our friends in FL.

(off to put my feet up, I've been awake since a little before 3 am worrying about Grandma. M-C I need to talk about this today with you, please) Kenda (remove nospam to use email addy)

I was thinking we had someone in the Pensacola area.......

As to being up at 3 am, couldn't sleep so no point in laying in bed. I cleaned the floors a bit more (spent all day doing that yesterday, all the hardwood/tile floors on my knees) and then went and ran 2 miles at the track. (it was either that or sit down in front of the fridge and eat! lol ) Why weren't you outside working???? You were inside just loafing around, shame on you! LOL

I'll be praying for your grandma, Kenda, and all of our other RCSers down in FL. Our youth group is supposed to leave Sunday afternoon to go to FL. Hopefully, they'll still be able to go!

I have a list that says Kelly A, Maureen R., Susan W., Carol W., Irene W., Mellissa J., TAbitha M., and Lorraine M., are all in Florida. This is an old list that does need updated though.

Thanks to all of you. We will be right in the path it seems. We live right near the Florida Ala. line. My Mom is coming out here to go through it with me. My step dad is still in the hospital. We don't know if he will be out by then or not. Its a waiting game too. Love to you all Irene

I hope that they can reshedule Deb. Unless they are flying and going somewhere south of Tampa or on the Atlantic coast, odds are truly aginst them. No way they will be able to drive there! Denis is huge and mean. I'm not even sure if it will be possible to fly through all that weather between AR and FL on Sunday.

Yep I'm in florida. Haven't really been watching the news. I think I should.

Prayers going out to everyone that lives in Florida and to the ones that have relatives, family and friends that live here.

Uhmmmmm Deb???? I don't think they will be able to go. Dennis is supposed to hit sometime between Sunday evening and Monday morning. They aren't letting people into FL. (well I guess they will but it isn't wise to drive into the path of a hurricane. IMHO ) I would hope the youth group will reschedule for a better time.

OMG Irene, I hope that you and your Mom will be safe. I'm sure your stepDad will be safe in the hospital. Batten down the hatches at your house and dig in. We'll be thinking of you and your Mom. Prayers being said.

I don't think they'll be able to reschedule. This is the youth groups camp this summer and everything has already been paid. I know several teenagers who will be severely bummed if they can't go. Hopefully I'll find out some more details tomorrow.

Thank you for the prayers, but I am thinking that all we are gonna get out of this is gonna be some rain and maybe a little wind. So far all we have gotten is a few sprinkles. Even the clearwater beach area which they tried to evacuate had a guy on the weather channel and they said that they were just now getting some rain and it was barely that. The Keys, Cuba, and anyone in Alabama or Louisianna is who I am praying for.
