Hi there!

I usually use Outlook Express to read the newsgroup, but the last couple of days I found that there were no messages...ok, sometimes that happens, but not often. Sooooooooo, I decided to check out what Google RCS had showing...and yes, I had missed some posts! (Now, I am caught up...)...but am reading through Google for the time being until my server catches up.

If you had posted a message regarding Secret Santa and need me to respond, please email it to me. I think I have been pretty up to date keeping up with people in the swap.

Thanks! :-) Theresa in IL

Hi Theresa. Have you tried resetting the newsgroup. It worked when I had a problem.

Geeeeeeeeeeezzzzzz.........I feel stupid! I do tech support (did f/t before kids...and now as a side thing) I should know this. Thank you for the hint! I did it and it works fine now...

Can I blame the kids? They stole my brain. :-) Thanks! :-) Theresa in IL

HAHAHA!!!! I've tried, they're not giving it up!

And, back to the Outlook Express posting...it updated after I reset the folders and now it's back to not updating, so here I am back at Google. Oh well...

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :-) Theresa

Theresa, mine never wantw to update either. Shwat I do is go to another group and back to this one. I[ve never been able to figure out why it wouldn't. Just quirky. Try adding dp-news.maxwell.syr.edu they carry RCS and are free though I can't post via them. What I do is click on RCS in maxwell, check the number of new posts and then click on RCS on my and that makes it update. It still beats posting via google despite it being improved and quicker.

COOL! Thanks for the info, it's working on downloading the groups and info as I type.

Hi Teresa

I also use OE and I find on Sunday afternoons (in SA) that it gets really slow. Don't know if the people at the servers filling our mailboxes get a bit tired round about that time...lol!...just kidding!

Hope you had a happy new year!

Judy, SA

Blame it all on the kids. :-) A friend of mine has a theory that for every child you give birth to, you lose 1/2 of what brain you had. So, for me, I lost 1/2 of my brain with DD, 1/2 of that remaining 1/2 with DS, which leaves me with1/4 of my brain left. Nope, no more kids for me! LOL

Yep! I agree! The kids did it!

Welllllllllllllll, I now have 2 boys which by my way of thinking is ENOUGH. :-) Hubby wants another child because he wants a girl. I told HIM to go have it. :-)

LOL You know, the world be a lot less populated if the guys had to have the kids. While in labor with DS (our 2nd child...and last LOL), during the middle of a contraction, I looked at DH and told him "If you want anymore, you can have them with somebody else!!" Oh the things we say in labor.....LOL. Every once in a while, I think how much fun a baby sister for DD would be. And then just about that time, one or both of the kids will do something and I think "Oh yeah....that's why we don't have any more!"
