A new picture

Hi Gang!

I'm almost finished a baby sweater (need to buy and sew on buttons) and a cap for my DIL who is due next month. I used a very bright variegated acrylic yarn in blue/red/orange, with a touch of green here and there. They've been told it's a boy, and she was excited about the bright colours. Go here to have a look ;>):

Shelagh they're gorgeous.

The way those colours have worked through is lovely. The little lad will look a picture in them.

Very elegant! I like how the variegated yarn turned out.

Georgia

I love the colors and the way they worked out. Very cute!

That's a great looking set! I like how you didn't use *traditional* baby colors.

Shillelagh spun a FINE 'yarn':

Beauuuuutimus! Noreen :D

I will repeat every one else Shelagh, the colors are beaufitul and work is excellent. Dennis

To everyone who posted comments - Thank you so much! I wasn't sure at first about using this yarn for a baby's outfit, even for a boy - but I guess I'm a little behind the times. Of course, when my kids were tiny, all you got was white or pastels.

However, everyone I have showed this picture has liked the colours. Doin' a happy dance. I just hope the mother-to-be feels the same when she sees it. ;>)

No, Shelagh, NOT behind-the-times, just 'stuck in a time-warp', GRIN! I am SURE the mom will love and appreciate your gift! Noreen

That is wild, Shelagh! I love it!

LauraJ

Oh definitely. I always had my DD in bright colors when she was itsy bitsy (still do!).

LauraJ

Shelagh, I *love* the colours!!

Sorry I didn't reply to the original message, but I somehow missed it. ;o)

*hugs* Gem
