Happy Saterday/Sunday

Hello everyone - well it is Sunday night 7.30 pm here so it will actually be Sunday where some of you are and I hope it is a nic day.

We have had lovely weather for over a week now - the dreadful summer humidity has gone and the days are perfect. Unfortunately ther is a force 4 cyclone aproaching the north of Queensland ( do not worry that make it almost 1000 mile from me) and is due to cross land this evening.

I have had a lazy day - after a hectic week I just "flopped". So I spennt the day watching the Commonwealth games on TV and really enjoyed the day. No doubt Melbourne must have the best sporting venues in the world now. I have always know their tennis venue is the best -they have two fully covered arenas which can be closed and airconditioned if the heat gets too bad or just closed if it rains and then three large show courts as well.

The tennis covered arenas are being used for gymnastics, net ball, basket ball, etc etc and then they are just a few minutes walk from the main arena which , in turn, is only about 10 or 15 minutes walk from the heart of the city. I always love watching the marathon when ever Olympic or Commonwealth games are held as one gets a good look at the host city.

Next week is shaping up a very busy one too - I am beginning to wonder when things will get back to normal and I can have some time to "talk" to you all

I am sure to have missed some important occasions - so please accept belated good wishes and if any one who is unwell I wish you a speed y recovery and you are included in my prayers for all my friends "in the little grey box".

Have a nice day and I will go and have a cup of coffee God Bless Gwen

Hi Gwen,

They say it's the official start of spring tomorrow, but it sure won't feel like it here. It's still cold and windy but at least there is no snow. We'll probably get that in April knowing how mixed up the weather has been this fall and winter.

Don't over work and get sick, just take it easy.

Hugs,

Nora

Thank you for your care Nora , I do try and not overdo it - which is rather hard since I am now feeling back to the old self after a full two years - but common sense tells me that I should work up to a very hard day !!! ( never did have much of that though) Incidentally the cyclone crossed the coast last night and had risen to a force 5 with gusts of 280 miles per hour so the whole town of Innesvale is wrecked and all crops ( bananas and sugar mostly) ruined. It is the worst Cyclone we have had since 1971 God Bless Gwen
