Here are a couple of photos of another felted "balloon bag" I made last week. I love this pattern because it is so easy to knit up.

This is why I love felting! The colours become so soft and "watercoloury" looking.

What yarn are you using? Love the bag

What a soft beautiful bag, Shelagh! Aud ;-)
Thanks. The plain colour is Lopi, the variegated is King Kole Mohair. I think they look great together and am glad I used them. I shopped from my stash to make this bag. ;>). Lopi felts really nicely. It's not a yarn I'd want next to my skin though.

I agree about the Lopi.....I brought some back from Iceland in the 70's and started a sweater....had to stop as the yarn made my thumbs hurt and peal. While I was in Iceland they sold some really neat zip up sweaters with hoods that were lined...that's the only way you could wear the jacket. I loved it as it was very lightweight but warm.

Very nice job, Shelagh. Dancing in the moonlight for ya!
