OT Sunday again

JCT, pleassseee do not mention those patisseries - I get fat just reading about them. Your trip sounds just great

I really do not think I have ever suffered jet lag - most flights from here are at least 14 hours , to the USA, and about 20 to the UK.

I have always made it a point that I do whatever the time of day in my "new"country suggests I should do. If it is breakfast time when I think it should be bed time , well, I have breakfast and remain active all day until it is local bed time. Either that works or I just am lucky and do not suffer jet lag.

The only king of jet lag I have is the lack of the opportunity !!! because I just love airplains - I could just sit and watch them at the airport for hours given the chance. God Bless Gwen

Gemini that Superbowl party sounds good - we had a sort of continuing "dinner' started with nibbles , then kababs and mini quiches and chicken drum sticks etc etc until it came to the end of the game - and for that I had made a pavlova filled with bananas, kiwi fruit and strawberries - it was for either a celebration finish or for comfort food and since we lost it became the latter*** God Bless Gwen

I totally agree, Els, but there is, as always on the top, a financial part of it... To go down to next division, put a hard economic pressure on the club, so we will hope, as long as possible! Not to forget: as long as they are in the "elite", we can see all the best teams in Norway playing here.

This town is suffeing from football(soccer) fever these last years, and I am impressed that new supporters are so loyal to the club! ( I am an old one, the club is part of the reason for why we moved back to DH's hometown, he was a player!!)

We have 40 000 inhabitants in our town; on all matches this year there have been between 10 and 11 000 spectators. That is good! Especialy because there has been more "loss" then "win"! LOL!

BUT, ELS!!! Now there is less than two weeks till I am watching AJAX in Amsterdam!!!! AND! DH found out there was an international match between Netherlands and Macedonia Oct. 12. I said "thank you, but NO thank you" to that, I will use time (and money) on something else! ;-)

AND the last whole day we are in Amsterdam, the Amsterdam Maraton is on!! SO I am sure we will come home exhausted from watching! (If I don't say to DH..: ".....take care of my bag!" and run with them!) AUD ;-)

.. and HERE is more a question of loving snow, wind and rain, Gwen! LOL! But I know I would miss the changes in seasons! Still most of us(and I am one!) dream about a warmer climate all the year!

I look forward to the match, it is always nice to be there! ..and I am not SO engaged in it, so I can smile to myself when people get totaly FURIOUS with the team OR the umpire when "we" loose! AUD
