ravelry anyone?

and, now that I've reposted THIS, I'm dropping it. I have much more pressing issues, IE see my post about my mother. It's a very sad and trying time, and dealing with stuff here is at the bottom of my list. Noreen

I'd already noticed that.

I agreed that Noreen didn't actually name Jan, by that she didn't

Yes indeed it is. If Noreen did write then I unreservedly apologise to you. I have rechecked all posts in the thread and I can''t see any such post from Noreen.

However, I do think that the reaction from you and Jan has been rather over the top. You and she are moderators in another group, not this one. To continue to carry on about right and wrongs of something that occurred in another group and which you must know by now is irritating to quite a number of people who post and read here is excessive in my opinion.

It seems to me you're the one who is being irritating and excessive, since you have been chewing on this subject relentlessly like a dog with a bone. Pretty much everyone has quit posting on it but you, so how about you give it a rest and stop - as was asked by others in another thread.

You wouldn't be JaneB using a new I.D., would you?

Thanx for the apology, not needed though, I don't hold grudges at all, don't dislike anyone, just don't like people digging at others, over things that happened years ago. So if people email me privately to say it's going on again, I come in and can play ruddy stupid mind games as well as anyone else... of course it wasn't all to do with another group, this has flared up now and then since before we started up a group...but as you say you don't know...and therefore I know, the only thing you don't know, is that you don't know...

Incidently, since you picked up that Jan's name wasn't mentioned, did you not notice that Jan did not name Noreen as a fool either...seeing as you are picking up on techno issues.

Maybe you have your messages set to delete them after so long, to find the one where Noreen states to Jan that she is the spammer, go and search google groups.. it's there as all can see.

WARNING this is not about yarn.

Hello Farml, the issue is NOT about something that happened in another group. It was in this group that I was falsely accused of sending spam. If you need any further clarification, please send a message to nonsecure dot use at hotmail dot com.

Hmmmmm.

So if people email me privately to say it's going on

I can identify multiple "people" digging when I see it.

I was not picking on "techno issues". I was responding to posts that appeared on my screen. I didn't receive one vital one from Noreen. I did a post from Jan where anyone reading it could be left in no doubt that it was Noreen whom she was calling "a fool".

I don't have such settings, but my ISP seems to delete older posts after some time. I assume it has something to do with how many posts they can store on their servers at a time.

I did go off and check the whole history at google groups from the beginning of November. I didn't doubt your word but I did recall that a couple of other posters had written that Noreen's posts hadn't shown up on their screens and they were only seeing replies: I confirmed that they did write that, and I also saw the post from Noreen that didn't appear and the one from Jan. Messages disappear into the ether sometimes and it appears that posts being lost happened to a number of us.
