Nora - I was about to say the same in my previous post but thought that it might sound a bit drastic !! God Bless Gwen

Ahhhh.... don't you just hate when someone doesn't let you know when something spilled? Matthew's viewpoint on it is... "Casper (the big white one) will clean it up!", and he usually does.. but still. Jeesh! And on your underwear too! LOL Sorry, although I'd be a bit ticked if it happened to me, it hit me funny reading about it happening to someone else. hehehe

Peace! Gem

By the way... If even one of Casper's kibble falls on the floor while he's eating, he cleans it up right away before eating anymore from his bowl. Buffy, on the other hand, ends up with kibble all over creation in her area and just leaves it there... so on the way through to go outside, Casper stops and cleans up her mess too. I think he was a custodian in a past life.... or a vacuum cleaner. LOL

My Mom would sit in the car and read while my Dad was fishing. Poor Daddy had a hard time catching any fish at the one spot that he loved to go, as I used to play on this one huge leaning tree and do loud "Tarzan" yells, which my Dad said scared the fish away... but he never got angry with me for having fun, instead he would move farther down the river hoping the fish wouldn't hear me. LOL

When I would get tired from all the fresh air and exercise I would lay on the back seat and fall asleep watching the leaves on the trees move gently in the breeze. My Mom said I used to do that when I was a baby too.... I still find the movement of leaves very relaxing. :o)

Peace! Gemini

- How poetic of me... "The leaves on the trees move gently in the breeze". Sounds like that thing "The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain." LOL

Wooly makes a mess with her food, but hangs around under Licorice's chair in hopes that she will drop cat food for her to scarf. She also loves it when Liam visits, as he is a bit of a messy eater, and she cleans that up.

Okay, under Liam's chair I can understand... but the cat sits in his/her own chair to eat? ROTFL I'm having visions here! HAHAHA

LOL Not really. I keep the cat's bowl on a chair so that Wooly can't steal it. The cat jumps up, and smirks at Wooly while eating.

At Skyes hourse, Michelle has stopped all TV programmes for Skye. Michelle started it, just before the summer months and so far Skye is not missing it at all, and has not asked for TV time or vidios. Michelle found that the little time they spent together as a family, was halved by TV watching. Aysia is to small for TV other then that she pushes the off and on buttons....Reading stories and drawing is Skye's favorite past time, and the rest of the time she is a live wire, running here and there and always at your side to help....Like we say in Dutch from the side of the canal right into the water....LOL ( van de wal in de sloot)

Hugs back for Kandace

I think that Michelle has the right idea. I tend to get videos and watch them with Kandace. She chose "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" last night because she decided that "Lemony Snickett" would be too scary for the stuffed toys. Of course, we always read, too.

Katherine I am so glad to hear that Kandance does what Skye does. She censors her own viewing with the help of her stuffed toys. It is outright crazy the kind and type of movies that are shown in Daycare and even in Skye's school. Michelle had to step in twice and tell teachers and day care people to not let Skye see inapropreate films, outright scary ones for a 5 year olds. Common sense has gone totally out of the window. We just have to carefully listen to our youngsters and we do get the message.

See another star for you and for the stuffed little fellows and Kandace. No wonder you are knitting blankies for all of them....LOL

Love

Butbutbutbut!!!! She is getting *TWO* more of the creatures on Thursday. All of my knitting time is going to be taken up with blankies! I shouldn't complain, I suppose, as she will be grown up too soon, and not want to play with stuffed toys. Today we made leashes for them out of pipe cleaners. After she got bored with that, she just left the pipe cleaners on the floor, and Licorice is having a great time playing with them.

This paragraph reminded me of when Matthew was about 3 years old and really liked Michael Jackson songs he would hear on the radio (obviously just the music because it takes a while to catch on to the words of most songs anyway). So one Saturday afternoon my Dad and I were in the livingroom with the TV on (I think my Mom was away or lying down reading a book), and Matthew was in the other room. When the Michael Jackson video "Thriller" came on TV, Matthew heard his voice and came into the room to stand in front of me and watch it. I had never seen it before and had no idea what it was about... so my Dad and I never though anything about it since it came on Saturday TV which is normally "kids TV" time. The first part was fine and dandy, and Matthew's little bottom was moving to the music... then suddenly it changed... Michael Jackson was bent down and when he looked up he was very scary looking (Zombie-like). I noticed Matthew stiffen up at the same time my Dad looked at me and pointed to Matthew. Poor Matthew was terrified and couldn't move to look away! I didn't want to frighten him more so I spoke quietly to him just before I softly touched his shoulders and turned him toward me. At the same time my Dad got up (no remote controls with that TV) and turned the station to find some cartoons. Matthew clung to me for a few minutes, his entire body shaking like a leaf, until he calmed down and I convinced him that there was cartoons on TV now. For a very long time after that he wouldn't listen to Michael Jackson at all, and he wanted the poster my Mom had bought of him removed from his room.

That day definitely opened my eyes to censoring things Matthew watched... even on Saturdays which had always been (even when I was little) kids TV time.

Hi Katherine,

Oh, no Kandance will never outgrow playing with stuffed animals. Ask me I know. LOL My DH says I have enough and the next thing you know another one has popped into our shopping cart and just has to come home and join all the others. In fact he bought a bench so in the wintertime so that some of them can sit and watch us or at least four of them can. I haven't added up to see just how many I do have, but two more were added this weekend.

Hugs,

Nora

Katherine are you tempting the gods here......LOL

PS I have just found a little hand spun hand knitted bear. A Guild member made for a Guild sale. I bought it a long time ago. This bear heard about those nice warm knitted blakies being made, out in Labrador. I think bear is on his way, I just saw him walking down the drive way.....LOL

Oh, dear! What colour is he? Kandace insists that her animals have co-ordinated blankies. And Granddad just called, as he is in St. John's right now, and told me that he has found a cow for her.

Katherine, I looks like you have to knit a whole new house, so this animal farm will fit in somewhere.....

This little bear is a soft brown, he did ran away with his own blankies....They are peaches and cream knitted by a dear dear friend, and they are blue.....What does a bear know about colour coordination....I think they are colour blind right...LOL

What kind of cow is Grand Dad bringing....??

Els (who just cleaned her bead drawers, and work table...no more procasternations here LOL)

LOL Actually, Granddad couldn't get a cow, so he got a monkey and a frog. Kandace calls these creatures "big-headed", as their heads are bigger than their bodies. They have large eyes, and she thinks that they are beautiful.

And, while a bear might not know about colour co-ordination, Miss Kandace does! Luckily, I managed to find a yellow/orange mix for the giraffe. LOL

I've seen those. They are the collection that started out with dogs with big heads, then cats came around too, right? Now they have been putting out all kinds of animals to add to the collection.

The one picture I have of Casper (big white youngest pooch) reminds me of one of those toys. He was curious as to what I was doing with the camera and put his face closer just as I snapped the picture. I was soundly told off about it too... he told me to Go Lay Down... Bad Boy! LOL
