Many good wishes and prayers going your way for your knee surgery on Tuesday. *hugs* Nice that you are making yourself a lapghan... that will keep you toasty if/when the temperatures drop again.

Hi Gwen,

How nice to sign in and see your note. Yes, I knew you were coming back on here, but not when.

With the Lupus that Colleen has, it's not as bad as years ago. My best friend has it and you would never know it as her meds. are working like the ones Colleen is taking, but I'll say prayers for her.

Hugs,

Nora

Gem I would think that sooner or later, Gwen has to put them on CD for storage. Pictures take up a lot of space on your computer. The mantra is...."Back-up Back-up Back-up" That goes for all your files.

Hi Gwen, wonderful news about Colleen's engagement, not so good about the Lupus, although I'm sure that with all the vague (and not so vague) symptoms she'll have had she'll be pleased to have a diagnosis at last. And the treatments are much, much better than when I first came across Lupus in about the year dot, when I started training!! I'm sure too that you'll be enjoying planning the wedding with her. I did all that a couple of years ago with DD1 and really loved it. All the best to all of you Love & higs Christine

Oh I know that, Els. I just meant that I wouldn't (personally) be getting rid of the actual original photographs just because of scanning and saving them to the computer and/or disks. Things can happen to computers and disks too, so it would be nice to have the originals in storage *just in case*. :o)

Good to hear it turned out well for you, Mirjam, although not surprising... everything you do is so nice that it is bound to turn out well. :o)

Good Morning All ,,, printing time , but this is done by the proffesionals ,,, Next week we have to send invitations , to the 25 artisys , who will than send them to ..... a month before opening ,,, A good time table . Weather is nice Cold our heating AC is failing again , Just last week we had a BIG repair ,,I told my husband we should invite the technitian to stay here ,,,, anyway he comes to `visit` every week. I hope i will manage a long hard walk .. and than ,, ,, WORK ,,,, I also need to cook a big soup. have a nice day all You might be surprised Gemini , but one can work one`s brain to end of ideas , spend HOOOOOOUUUUURSSSSS and something gets fouled up ,, i repaired some typos and spellings i chose how to place each object on each card ,, and it might happen that the artist won`t like it ...or if he/she likes it somebody closer to him/her won`t like it . If you never did organize such a job , you might not have a clue about the AMOUNT of work one puts in it ,,, Now since both me and the Gallery owner are unpaid and do it because we like it, and are proffessional ,, we save participants load of money , they only have to share the print /post costs . We need stamina ... Like going home and getting up and remembering that i saw it all but missed X .. You know my husband complains that `exhibition openings are like Work meetings for us ` but he is right , i met 2 of the 25 artists , checked with one her Latin spelling of her name , And asked her to explain how her work should hang , another just discussed shipping dates etc,,, with me ,, I appreciate you compliment ,, but gee ..... there is ALWAYS somebody disssatified ,, but than i think about the story of the father +kid riding a Donkey,,,, and am quiet. mirjam

No, that doesn't surprise me at all, Mirjam! Being a writer, I can start off having an over-abundance of ideas running around in my head.... start getting them on paper (even just jotting them down randomly so as not to lose any of them... figuring I can sort through later and put them in order) only to very suddenly run into a brick wall and not have one more idea to put with it all for a few days, weeks or even months. That brick wall drives me crazy... and I don't have far to go most days! ;o)
