Ugly projects

Mona, it's a cliche, but beauty *is* always in the eye of the beholder and who among us would want to be anything other than unique? Personally, I thought the crochet spats were funny and certainly an attention-getter! And I had much the same opinion about the pink wig from knitty.com.

If it's the quality of your work that's bothering you, well, we all start somewhere and some of us, like me, haven't knit for years and need to start over again. I've only been participating in this group for a few months but I've learned lots and I'm enjoying my "new" skills.

So please stick around and tell us what you're working on.

Mona, We were ALL newbies to fibre arts at one time, and I PROMISE, nobody would dream of criticizing, if that's what's got you worried! Hugs, Noreen

Ach Mona , do you than keep all your made things in a closed drawer ? eventually someone Must see it ???? so why not the keen good eyes here ? Even some of my works that are shown in Exhibitions, aren`t always liked by all ,,,, as long as YOU are happy with it ,,, that is the most important thing. mirjam

Emlynn As a curator i sure hope that not all people will

When curating , i have sometimes to turn works away. and alas some of those rejects are suspiciously look just like that unsucceeded works. But as an artist i may tell you that some times , problems while working , can lead to creative solutions. mirjam

Now Nora, I know that's not quite true. If you can scan your pictures and save them as .jpg, you could post them to a Yahoo album. It's not hard, because if it was, I wouldn't have Yahoo photo albums (smile). Encouraging you to try it!!

Heredity is a funny thing, especially when it comes to red hair, which is pretty eccentric. My mother is so dark most people think she's Mediterranean, but 7 of the 9 of us have some shade of red hair & freckles (none as red as Dad's though) But we all have brown eyes, though. And not one redheaded grandchild, to the sorrow of all the elders.

Both my parents are dark haired (dad dk brown/black fine and straight, mum dk brown/black with copper highlights in the right light, wavy), blue eyed. I've got mid brown fine hair with a slight wave, hazel eyes; next sis got mouse brown straight fine hair, blue eyes; middle sis got blonde wavy hair and blue eyes; youngest sis got copper red curls, blue eyes. Put us all together and we really don't look much like each other.
