I also detest charts for textured (or lace) knitting. Good luck with it!

This from someone, who does not know anything about knitting charts, so can even less read them, I was just wondering if there is not some sort of little software somewhere that can do that for you....???? Roger is there such a beast..... For instance I can see (pun) that David would need such a software if he was to use a charted pattern like that....No?

Noreen,

I prefer charts. It all what you learned with I guess.

Its kind of like riding a bike. The more you ride the better you get.

No Noreen, you can not swear at me. :)

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Why dont you try making it from the chart? take a piece of cardboard and cut out a WINDOW size of one row ,, this will make it so much easier to follow the chart, mirjam

Either scan or photocopy the chart, then use magnetic strips and board like the ones used for cross stitch. There is also a page holder with a sliding type bar used to keeping track of lines when typing that works well also. DA
