I said NO to consignment (WA-HOO) and other comments....

I stopped over at the bead shop today and told Kathy that I would not be interested in doing consignment. She took it pretty good and seemed to understand my reasons. Now, she is still very interested in me teaching and doing more demos but that decision can come later.

I brought over my finished beads because she said she was interested in buying some for herself and for the shop. She bought $60 for herself but none for the shop (not at all surprised). She sounded like she still wants some of my beads for these pens that have a mandrel type rod in them. She's having a hard time finding beads with big enough holes.

Anyway, I'm glad it's all over...........the demo and the "talk". She says her business is doing really well. Always busy and making about $150 a day in sales. So, it should be interesting to see how her business works out.

THANK YOU EVERYONE for all your thoughts on this matter. You all made me think really hard about what I wanted and you made the decision very easy for me to make.

Hi Catherine,

I'm glad to hear you sound so at peace about your decision. I know those things can be really stressful.

Catherine,

That's great!

If you hadn't done this you would've kept getting further and further into things you didn't want to do and more uncomfortable every time you see her. Now you can have a good relationship with her without that pressure.

It sounds like if she wanted to buy stuff outright from you and you have stuff to sell her that would work out well from you both now.
