heeeeee hee hee

Pernod is my poison.....absinthe without the wormwood. No one can stand it but me, so no one pinches my likker. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
I used to drink Boone's Apple Farm -- do they still make it? (In high school!) Does anyone remember it? ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
Yes... I *can* handle the truth! ;)
-Kalera
Yes. If I didn't, I would be an insecure wreck! ;P
-Kalera
Oh, my god, I remember that stuff! It gave me the worst hangovers of my life, worse even than red wine (which I adore).
-Kalera
OMG! I've always wondered what the heck Pernod was. I have a friend who makes absinthe (he's a very eccentric philosophy grad who works for the IRS) and I like the stuff, even though everyone else declares it "barfy".
I love Ouzo, too. I'm kind of fond of odd, pungent flavors, I guess.

Oh yeah. Best after sitting a your friend's Volkwagon bug for several days/weeks.
When I was a drinker, I liked tequila! In fact, I sitll like tequila, but don't like to drink anymore, so haven't had any for years and years...

Good tequila is wonderful. Like you, I haven't had an alcoholic drink in years, and I wasn't much of a drinker to begin with, but there were a few drinks I really, really liked. Tequila was one of them.
One hot day this summer, I told Bob I was _dying_ for a margarita. He told me that he'd be happy to make me one without the liquor. Sorry, a margarita without liquor is limeade, and that just wasn't going to do it for me.
Oddly enough, I also enjoyed a once a year treat of single malt scotch and my New Year's Eve glass of champagne.

Try Pernod on ice with a water back -- or put the water in with the booze and ice. (It turns it milky) It's not as bad for you as absinthe. Very refreshing, too. ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
I drink once a year -- or less. But I still have a bottle of Pernod in the liquor cabinet. :-D Can't drink with my meds, sigh. That's okay, I'm not a big booze adorer.

-------------i'm sorry. :-( ~~ Sooz To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong. ~~Joseph Chilton Pearce
There are some days when I would rather go on a drunk than take the meds. At least I sleep much sounder even though I wake up feeling horrible. It's no worse than I normally feel though.
Right now I have no meds that are dealing with the pain. I'm waiting just like Kathy what which doctor is going to do. It's a major PITA.
No! Don't you dare be sorry! I was kidding!
Now I'm going to go eat my Cocoacats. THAT, you should be sorry for, temptress!
-Kalera
I love tequila! We buy a bottle of it every summer.
-Kalera
I'll try it! Next time I go to the liquor store, so it may be a while.

Boone's Farm Apple Wine. (Why yes, I drank quite a bit, IIRC ). My favorite, though, was Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill.
Cheers, Carla

Damn! That brings back memories. I drank quite a bit of both those flavors in HS....I haven't touched alcohol in years but as soon as I read the name I could taste the wine.....
