I don't need to worry about documentation, as the long time RCB-ers know. I keep every scrap of paperwork, along with a log of who I've spoken to, and when, in a file cabinet in my desk. The files are amazingly thick, and usually shut up whoever is giving me a hard time.
The ones that crack me up are the Social Security people. They have about a 6" thick file on me, yet claim I cannot work. My education and job skills work against me. But since I cannot program when I can't sit or even get to a job, I doubt that employers are going to line up to grab me. The heart problems don't make me more attractive, either. Their doctor says I'm unable to work, and their shrink says I'm totally nuts (I beg to differ on that one - that shrink was a quack if I've ever seen one).
Still, they've denied me at the first three levels of appeals, and we have to go to court to see what happens next. My attorney says it's the darnedest thing she's ever seen, and swears that no one has even looked at the paperwork, because "you're a slam dunk if I've ever seen one."
Thank you. There are some down days where that's about the only thing that keeps me going.
