Hi all. Just dropping in. I've had a few ideas swirling about lately, and I can't wait to get started on them. I've been wanting to make my own mummy for awhile now, and I just haven't gotten to it. I think I'll take pictures of every step. I'm planning on wrapping it and everything. Including doing a beaded piece to lay on top. Should be fun. Some poor Ken doll is going to be "sacrificed" for this. LOL.
I also seen an interesting show today on the DIY network. Working with silver, making your own jewelry. They made it look so easy! I'm going to check that out too. They even covered the lost wax method. Looks interesting, but tedious. At least at the end of it all, you'd have a unique piece!
Lastly, if y'all could find it to spare a few vibes this way, it would be appreciated. My grandpa is slowly going downhill. The effects of which tumble down to me. Also, b/f's dad is going in tomorrow to have his brain checked out. I don't know the proper medical term, but I guess it's similar to when they check your heart. The dye thing and all. And this makes no sense to me...they do that for your heart and keep you over night. But when they check for possibility of strokes, they do the procedure and send you home that day. I guess there's a high probability of stroke after all is said and done.
Also, I have strep, and I'm whiney. LOL. Ah, spring. It's been beautiful weather here lately, and dang it, strep or not, I'm going to enjoy it the best I can.
