Did anyone here attend the "A Stitcher's Gathering" in Louisville this past weekend? For those who are unaware of the event, it is sponsored by Rae Iverson of Moss Creek Designs. I am interested in hearing your impressions on the event, as this was the first one I have attended, and I would like to attend more. I put my name on the waiting list for the October event.
I enjoyed all three of the class projects, and I have to honestly state that I have no single favorite. I liked the design of the November Chase pocket. I liked the assembly and finishing for the Long May She Wave needlecase. I was impressed by the Thistle Friendship Sampler, and the Tulip pocket that was the class project. I wish photographs had been available on the website, but it was a very pleasant surprise to see the designs for the first time in person.
It was nice to meet the teachers, and to meet the class participants as well. I learned something new in each class, which was my goal. I also learned that I need to pack some pocket tissues in my project box as well! Right now, I am finishing a canvas project, and will start one of the class pieces when I am done with it. My only dilemma is which piece to start next!
