I whole heartedly recommend any book by Robert Munsch! I can't think of one I didn't enjoy reading aloud to DS or DD.

My grandkids especially enjoyed the Munsch book which mentioned *fart* many times. I think it made me laugh as much as the kids. Amazing how a little four-letter word like *fart* can create so many giggles. :-))

When we lived in Guelph, Ontario, his house was one of the ones my kids went to Trick or Treating. He always had something going on, whether he was sitting on the steps telling stories, or handing out 'cat poop' or other such treats. Anything he writes has been well tested on kids before making it to book form, and is hard to read because you're either laughing too hard, or, in the case of "Love You Forever", trying not to cry.

Ah 'Good Families Don't'. Great story! We also really like "Purple, Green and Yellow".

I am SO JEALOUS! I'd love to be able to thank him for those wonderful stories in person.

The Robert Munsch is a riot!

I like almost all of his, except Love you Forever, which I found pathologic. 2 I really, really like for girls are Stephanie's Ponytail and The Paperbag Princess.

As an older Mom, I really understood the point. Trust me, every once in a while, I glimpse DS as the little boy he used to be, not the man staring back at me these days.
I ADORE Paperbag Princess. My other favorite is Murmel, Murmel, Murmel!
Cheryl
I'll second that. I sent Barbie undies to a DF's little one. Same result and dry and clean ever since!
(Big Boy Underwear --just like Daddy's -- is what convinced my two!)
