May I ask...

I shall have to smack you and send you to your room if you don't stop that whining ! All good things come to her who waits - ??

Now I am not waiting, off out to my NYs celebrations lol I'm going by car, I expect if Sharon in NB is going out she will have a damn cold time on that broom of hers RDH They were just saying in the past three weeks we have had more snow than in the past two winters combined.

Don't buy one ! They have just uncovered a whole lot of scandals and rip offs with our lotteries, the people who sell the tickets win more often than is numerically logical. You are better off keeping the money in your pocket.

I just returned to Salem from Wilmington, where I was visiting my Dad and three brothers (one in Brandywine Hills, one in Fairfax, and one almost downtown on Washington St).

I know people, my late BIL being one, who believed that would finance their retirement!! Sigh. Money better in the bank, drawing interest or invested methinks.

Gillian

Eh, if I didn't buy the occasional Lotto ticket, I'd only waste the money on books or stash.

But I won't play until the pot reaches at least $20M. Yeah, on 7/7/07 I broke my rule, but otherwise, I wait for the big payoff.

Karen......There is NO SIN in buying stash!!!!!

Gillian

Absolutely. It's an "investment".

Howdy neighbor! I'm in Felton, DE.

Sara & Richard,

Salty Yarns in Ocean City MD is well worth the trip. Yeah, I know...you would think it's a knitting or crochet shop from the name but it's stitching, stitching and more stitching! Great selection of charts, kits, fibers, fabrics, frames etc etc.

M. Dineen in Felton, DE.

Yowie we practically *are* neighbors! I drive (at speed limit only!) through Felton all the time on my way to the rink in Harrington.

Sara

That's what all my retired friends say - they can't figure out how they ever had time to work, they are so busy doing stuff now that they are retired.

I'm already looking at things to do here in town. It's a very lively community.

You'll be getting more from the look of the forecasts. We are sending it to you from Ontario, after we are finished with it.

We are forecast to get 15-20 cm today.

MargW

Oh shush - the snow is going to start here any second.

Yes, due to start around 2300 tonight, red screen of death approaching lol Next time we would like you to keep your gifts, you must be of Greek extraction lol

Oh, all right, I'll try to behave. Mommy! Please don't hit me again!!!!

Did you have fun or did you behave yourself?

Joan r,d,h

Nah. I did that when ND first started it a few years ago. As usual, my non-luck was with me so I haven't bothered anymore. I'd much rather spend it on stash or save it for framing! :)

Joan

I had fun AND behaved myself but just before I went out, in a hurry I did something I never normally do, went to change my earrings in the bathroom, over the basin and down one went. So I spent most of yesterday locating a large wrench and fitting myself under the vanity. Earring safely retrieved, good as new and plumbing replaced.

You can come out now, so long as you've finished whining lol

I've lost stuff down the drain, but never an earring.

C

You wouldn't believe how easily it went down, bounced in the basin and I tried to grab it and dropped the other half, which bounced too and relentlessly rolled down the drain. I was at my eye doctors today and when she said 'Look towards my earring' I was telling her my tale. She washed her hands (when she was newly engaged) and suddenly saw her ring going down the drain. She was very afraid because the tap was running, but she got it back.
