Even worse than that was when my friend Bobbie leaned over the toilet to clean it, flushed to get rid of the soapy cleanser and watched her 3 carat diamond fall out of her ring. Down it went never to be seen again.

Some fortunate diver somewhere won't quite believe their luck ! What an awful thing. The doc and I were both agreed that the basin was better than the toilet, down there once it's round the bend, not coming back !
I have beginning cataracts which she didn't think I would get last time I asked her. So will need the op within five years she estimates. So that was good news, finally lenses that are stitched in and won't have to be taken out every night, or purchased !
thanks Mo! I don't get down that far south very often but I will keep in in mind if/when I do.
Dee in Riverside, CA (Southern California) Ladies, you have made my day. I have been a lurker for years and often wondered where many of you were from. I am BevF from New England originally but have been in Florida for several years.
Where abouts in Florida are you, Bev?? I live in between Lakeland and Winter Haven, in Polk County. I would RATHER be living in New England, but houses aren't selling well here, so I guess we remain here!

Liz Hampton is still having 'puter problems and asked me to add her to the list, so:
Liz from Applegate, Oregon
And you might as well put Trish from Newcastle, NSW, Australia in whilst you're at it, since she's being stubborn! ;)
Joan
I am *not* being stubborn!
Snot my fault. I was just standin' here, pickin' me nose.
You're just jealous that I've got mice and you haven't, Miss Toad!
No, that's Miss Kitty who's jealous that you have mousies. She likes mousies. She would love to help you eat, I mean "groom" the mousies. She could give them a nice bath with her tongue, yum yum.
I found a sweet little field mouse in the garage yesterday, stuck in a 5 gallon bucket. Let DD see him and tossed him into the snow.
No hawks around though - I'd rather feed the hawk than the mouse.
