Nah - he's lost his first season of Midgets and possibly the HS season (it with be close) to this. He's never skate boarding or anything else like it again.

Well, they are both younger than her, so I'm safer then with some of her other buddies....

That's great. Though - I'm sure not too much walking. Get him a shower stool for the tub - you can get them at the pharmacy or place that rents wheel chairs, etc. It's a kind of 4-legged stool with wide seat, holes in seat, and rubber feet. Makes it much easier for the bathing thing - can hang the cast out over the edge of tub (with bag over it to be safe). And have spritzer thing on hose for shower. Very life saving for me thru the last 3 leg surgeries (that didn't let me walk on it for about 4 months).

Exactly. And elevation. And ice packs. And pain meds. Knock the kid out. Then when he's awake, put him somewhere with a mini-cooler nearby so he has his refreshments and you're not running constantly.
