Tee hee - sorry - but it is traditional here to enable...If you'd like, I'll send you the list of colorways I did for the Motif Madness. Eventually the finished pieces I'll put on the shop website. But, I did them based around the Caron Watercolours main thread - one is "Cardinal # 219" - the Christmas set (with green or blue as 2ndary), the next is "Burnt Toast #062" - gorgeous earth tones - using WDW Terra Cotta as the primary copper, and a lovely rich GAST Acorn for the 2ndry, then there are Jewel Tones - done with "Elderberry Wine, #192, with WDW Blue Topaz & WDW Purple Majesty, then finally, neutrals using "Rose Quartz" as the base. I think that for the continuing sort of intermediated to more advanced canvas, I'm going to do "Twister" by Patricia Spencer - as a 6-8 month class (we'll see). I have to think up some colorways though the original is stunning. Several folks already asked me to do this one.

I'm sure the shop owner would be happier if I was finishing a lot of it, but I know that I have so many pieces being worked on I just grab something. The worst part - keeping up the "standards" - as a lot of them spend the day on display in the shop - to show how to use some frame or stand, etc. But, I'm trying. Last night - even worked on the baby sweater (knitting) for the friends due Feb 3.... Fortunately the newborn size one is done, except for final seaming. Now, my Infectious Disease paper - that's another story.

I don't like thinking about it. And I have to do a bunch of ambulance time in the next few weeks ....so I can do my cert test in Jan.

Yup, it's been interesting listening to AIH - it's on here pretty late. But they've been playing the call-in lines with commments as well. Intereesting interview with the CEO of TAZER. It's a conundrum, to say the least.

They're both really nice. Just be forewarned that her canvas chart booklets take a bit of time to sort through. She gives you a place to write down what you're using versus her colors, thread, but you'll spend some time doing the matrix of what thread is used where, etc. But, the stitch diagrams run from very good to a bit confusing - as in if you've not done it before you might have to think hard to find the starting place, or do some research. And the occasional not mentioning what is being used . But, on the whole - the diagrams are large and clear, and the pieces are gorgeous. She also seems to be using a lot of newer threads - I think she must be trying different products - there's overdyed rayon from Valdani for example, or Presencia thread. In Motif Madness, it was so hard for the shop even to get the rayon ...plus, well, it's rayon... That I subbed the Waterlilies overdyed silk instead, to have something with the sheen. Looks good.

I do get to see Donna regularly (poor thing, did a fabulous job helping me with an event job this past weekend and likely may never speak to me again). And talk to Cheryl - we have that hockey bond thing going.

Sorry - can't accept. This one is on West Nile Virus. Plus I have another one due - with a presentation - on something relevant to EMS. So, I'm doing it on sports injury resvues - specifically - the helmet issue and appropriate handling of the patient (go figure). Hoping to snag an interview with the CAPS head trainer. And 4 more Drug short papers (2 pages) for pharmacology.
