OT - anyone having problems with yahoo messenger?

You will never get rid of the spam slithering into your Yahoo mail, trackers and keystroke loggers pick up key words and generate more spam in their mail program as well. Have you noticed that if you are communicating with email that you start to recognize familiar names being use in the 'from' line of the spammers and subject matter that you've conversed about turns up in weird ways. Have you noticed that the more spam you remove, it starts multiply, Yahell is a Catch22.

There are no programs available to go in and remove this "deeply buried in your registry" spyware. My son knew what he was looking for and how to remove it safely without destroying the system. Apparently he had to go key by key (hence the garbled mumbling for hours while he was cleaning my machine) through the entire registry and read and decipher codes....he also informed me that he has now evened the score for labor and delivery and if I ever ask him to do it again he'll turn my PC into a well watered planter. When I called him this morning he answered with......"Tech support, may I have you credit card number and expiration date before we continue this call." I really need to remember that *67 thing.

it does with the yahoo email but I was talking about messages sent to the yahoo groups - yesterday *everyone's* messages to my mystery group were treated as Spam.

and I have been having this for 2 months now with my own email addy - it's getting old

OK, now I understand what you are talking about. I belong to several Yahoo groups and probably 2/3rds of the messages that come into my mail from these groups go to my spam folder. I've emailed Yahell tech support and they just refer you to help files, or quote some part of their help file that doesn't help one bit. I've given up on it, I just go to my spam folder first, move all the "not spam" to my inbox and delete the rest. I have no idea if there's a trigger in these people's names, profiles or addys that send them to spam and I've done all that I was told to do to solve the problem and it hasn't worked yet. There's one member in one of my groups that starts everyone of her posts with......."Coming to you from Spam Central"..LOL..her mail seems to go into everyone's Spam and nobody has been able to fix this glitch.
