OT new bed

Yesterday we went out shopping. The possibities were just a new mattress or a complete new bed (we prefer slat base).

Well we decided to go with a complete new bed - in KING size they are getting hard to get in Oz, most of them are imports.

So in a maximum of 8 weeks we'll have a new bed and along with that goes the need to find king size sheets and underlay, we already have a king size feather doona (although we find it small on the current queen size bed I don't think they make super king size stuff, if they do we don't get it here).

Anticipating some good night's sleep in the near future!

Don't know where you are in Oz but Becks in Melb still makes beds to order and they are DEVINE and not much dearer than a good quality off-the-shelf. And if you need bedding - ask them.

I also see a new king sized quilt in your project list! Congrats on the new bed. We still have a queen sized and we are so looking forward to "super sizing" to a king sometime next year.

Up in Newcastle, New South Wales. We've got a Sheridan factory outlet near-by, so we'll check that out if we can't find anything we like there we'll head to Spotlight to see what they've got for sheets. The underlay we'll check Sheridan or go to Myer.

If the feather doona ends up too small for us on the new bed, then yes I will look at making a quilt.
