scrapping first tooth

Ok, DD has lost her first tooth!!! My baby girl's growing up....*sigh*, but I'm also very very very VERY excited, too. I don't know why, I just am! Anyways, we did the "tooth fairy" thing last night and I have the tooth. So, how have you all scrapped that first loose tooth? Did you include the actual tooth in the layout, or am I nutso in thinking that way? LOL Anyone have layouts I can see to get some ideas? Obviously with the move and my scrapping stuff packed, it's not going to get done for a while, but I'm kinda needing to decide if I keep this tooth or not. HELP!

I would definetly put it in there. I've keep all of my sons teeth that he's lost.

I think it is a good idea to put it in a mini envelope in your book, but....you also wouldn't want your daughter to see the tooth in the book and wonder why the "Tooth Fairy" didn't really take her tooth. I have not decided what to do with my daughter's teeth, so I still have them in a "secret" place.

I've decided to tell her that the Tooth Fairy gave it to me so I could put it in her scrapbook. :-) After all, I'm the Tooth Fairy, so I'm not lieing to her. I gave it to myself! :-)

LOL Amy. I have my kiddos teeth in a secret place, too. Once in a reat while I look at them and think how tiny and how long ago. I just kept one tooth from each child (the first one).

HA! Tiffany we did the same thing. The kids and I found 6 of the pups baby teeth. We split them 3 ways and all have 2 puppy teeth in little envelopes in our albums. Most people who are dog lovers comment about how disappointed they are that they didn't find any of their dogs teeth.

I was just reading this and thinking "wish I had found some of Scooby's teeth". I love my dog and that would be so cute to scrap. I do plan to keep DD's teeth when she loses them and scrap them in a very safe way. I still have the first tooth I pulled out by myself in 2nd grade.

I did see a LO with a first tooth held in a shaker embellishment. I don't know how to make these, but Ronni does.

For my DD, I found a tooth graphic online and made a pattern. I then applied a paper piecing technique to create several teeth with smiley faces. The became part of a vertical border.

I'm sure what ever you do, it will be a great LO!

April made me a great shaker box of tiny punchie teeth that was just too cute and what a great asset it was to the LO. I also pp a tooth fairy. She turned out pretty well, too. This was for my youngest DGD's first tooth loss last year. My DD sent me pictures and the favorite was her smiling the biggest gap-toothed smile ever.
