FO list for Dec.

We also have a Frabricland! I never knew that they had any others. Ours used to have all types of crafts but has just whittled down to sewing, decorator fabrics and draperies. Very nice things, but pricey.

Finished the sweather for DS. ...and ...in a hurry: Sweather and hat for DD.

(But then there was NO time left for something for DH, He got a yarn sample, a pattern, and a promise that I will knit it "first thing" when LYS get enough of the yarn)

Aud ;-)

Hi Aud,

Sounds like what my Mom used to do, she would put an IOU in a box, with the yarn and pattern and say she would do it after the first of the year.

Hugs,

Nora

There are 3 shops in Winnipeg. I used to do nothing but sewing many years ago. Sewed all my own clothes, etc. Then later went over to knitting, crochet and cross stitch. I haven't done any cross stitch for a while and seem to be hooked on knitting now.

The only time I go into Fabricland is to get something I can't find at Wally-Mart - like this particular zipper I want for the sweater, so have no idea of their stock and prices.

I forgot:

4 other bags

My list is very short - just 2 pairs of socks (Christmas presents for my parents). But I have moved some of my UFO's into the WIP pile since I finally gave in and ordered the yarn I need for them online (been waiting since March for it to come in at the LYS). So at least I feel like I am accomplishing something.

WIP

-felted vest for DH (The felting worked great! Just adding borders and zipper now)

-cable cardigan for me

-felted mittens

-socks for DSis (her bday is 5 days after my due date - doubt I'll be knitting much then!)

-Bobbi Bear

And when that is all done I can finally start knitting for future DC - due 2 months from today! I fear this child is going to be naked for it's first couple months of life

I've been gone the past week or so - it's good to be back but ya'll have been chatty in the meantime (not that I expected any less:)! I had over

1200 messages when I logged in this morning. So it'll take me a little while to get through them all but I hope you all had a great holiday, whatever one you celebrated!

Hi Laura,

It's good to see you posting again. Wow, only two more months to good, seems like you just told us you were expecting and here you are almost ready to deliver. I doubt that you will let the baby not have anything to wear. LOL

Hugs,

Nora

Hi - I'm pretty new to rcty though I've been knitting for awhile. I finished 3 scarves; 1 for my sister in cat's paw lace (laceweight wool), one for a caregiver friend in Crest Of the Wave lace (done in dk wool), and one for my partner in really fat, soft chenille. I also knitted a sock for my new XM radio!

Alison

Welcome, ALison. A sock for your XM radio? Sounds interesting.

Higs, Katherine

Hi Nora,

Nice to hear from you as well. Time certainly does fly, doesn't it! Luckily, my mother is a knitter as well so I am hoping that she will keep the baby well-dressed even if I cannot :) She gave us a beautiful knit cotton blanket for Christmas. It is so nice I am hesitant to use it for the baby - it should be on display instead!
