interesting relationships, and would feel like devaluing some of my most wisdom-creating experiences. The stuff that helps me understand and value other people, whether their POV is like mine, or quite, quite different.<
Different specifics, but very very YES. :)

Breastfeeding increases the bustline temporarily. You wont go back to the old shape and size but its a toss up whether you will stay larger or not. Isnt that fun? And... for added amusement you may find one side larger than the other! Whoohooo! lol Diana

looking blue jeans with hammer loops. But then... why is my stereotype the correct one? Could be evening gowns made of cotton duck... ruffles made of duct tape... purses full of grommets and handy totable tools.. How does the sturdy and capable woman of today dress? More for function than fashion? Diana, hastily trying to extricate her foot from her mouth..<
Heh, nothing wrong with a good flannel shirt. I have a beloved favorite that's gone thin at the elbows but I cannot seem to part with it. It's the blocky kind of check, not a true plaid, in cobalt blue and black. Love it, would buy 10 more if I ever found another one. Oh, and it's even sorta "girlie" because it has fuller sleeves gathered at the shoulder. Looks great with black jeans.

when I was recovering from anorexia in college, my mother, whos bodyshape/size is genetically amazingly similar to mine, would be trying to be supportive of me gaining some weight at the same time bemoaning how DISGUSTINGLY FAT she was--at ten pounds less than me. (oh, but honey, on you it looks OK) More than anything else, this helped me understand that the image of self not always connected to the physical reality of self. Sarajane

and that's true no matter what areas we come to that require extra effort or awareness. We all have to reach a little further to grow past what we already are. Sarajane

Good rant. The trouble with cultural 'ideals' is that hardly anyone fits them. No matter which side of the target point on the spectrum you fall, you're not *right on target*, and therefore there's something wrong with you.
Right.

There's a flaw involved, but it's in the perceptions/hearts of OTHERS who are unaccepting of choices other than their own.
It would be total arrogance on my part to think that I can pick someone for another person better than they could pick for themselves. I would NEVER try to pick a mate for my children--tho that's very accepted in some cultures, and has some positive points....
I hope that my boys find someone to love who is loving to them, and that they both grow and learn from the experience. It'd be nice if they honor and nurture and support each other. Other than that, its THEIR business!!!! Sarajane

I've always liked "Zaftig". "Fits from Anorect to Zaftig"...that would cover it all, literally! Sarajane

I was thinking about how I came to beading...you remember those Fisher Price poppit beads, plastic and in shapes like round, accordian-pleated, oval and other shapes, with an inny on one end and an outie on the other? That's what did it. THAT's where it started. I LOVED those things. They were necklaces...crowns...bracelets.... Sarajane

And THAT is the part that interests me most. I am fascinated with studying the perception of reality and the reality of perception. Which of course ends up being everything!! And Nothing, too. Sarajane
