Re: You can run, but you can't hide

Yikes! I'm number five! But it's important to note that it's not based upon the NUMBER of posts. I'm just very consistent. LOL! I tend to read and post every day.

Though Sooz didn't make the top five, she by far posts more than anyone else!

Ok, "hunter" and "myworkisdone" are NOT my aliases. Or anything like my aliases. Of all the aliases in the world, those are unlikely to ever be mine.

Where the smeg did it get that? (See supposed "aliases" by clicking on my email address in the list of posters).

I can't prove it but I find the numbers of postings for me suspiciously high. Yeah, I posted a bunch on a few topics, but I really don't think I posted over 800 times in 130 days.

Given the badly choosen "neighbor" groups, I'd be a bit leery of any stats this thing puts out. Consider how many newgroups there are, and how many posting to them all, and the data crunching must be horrendous. Then too, consider the source - Microsoft!!! I'm sure this all runs with M$ software, so you figger the odds of accuracy

I've definately never been in the other two groups it claims I've posted in.

Sometimes you can inadvertently post in another group by replying to group post if the post was cross posted to start with.

Some of that is due to thread drift. It seems to happen more frequently on OT topics, and one header can encompass 5 or 6 entirely different conversations.

That is why I try to at least -open- everything. Like a surprise package, the wrappings may reveal nothing about what is inside.

Probably crossposted replies to someone who crossposted FROM those groups. I've never been to talk.rape, but it shows that I've posted there, so it must have been a crossposted reply.

However, I contest that I post more than Sooz! LOL!

Yikes! That's why I love my newsreader - I have it set so that when I reply, it will ask me how many groups I want to reply to, which lets me know it's crossposted (and reply only where I want to!)
