Firehouse Angel Status

The crank powered radios idea really interests me. However you educate people, it's progress. If people can tune in, they can hear about how life is elsewhere, it can give them ideas. Ideas that grow and help them to overturn men like Mugabe.

Harry definitely gets attention from DH and she might be jealous of that. On the other hand, Cash is the fourth dog she's had to live with. She played with Satin and Sasha, clashed with Harry, and tolerates Cash but does not invite him to play the way she did the earlier two, but she's 13 now, so I suppose much less inclined to play in general.

I have pictures of a two-headed black beast: Satin (Cocker Spaniel) and Aksamite (the cat) curled up end to end on a dog bed. I can't imagine her letting either Cash or Harry do that with her.

"Dr. Brat" had some very interesting things to say about Re: OT: Cash was Re: Firehouse Angel Status:

Are these pictures on the Web anywhere? This sounds SO cute!

My cat is weird: loves dogs, tolerates the bird (and does not try to make a meal of her), hates other cats.

It is, for about half a day. And then you turn it around to face the neighbor's barker. After that, a little yellow box in the vicinity is enough of a reminder for anything but really important barking, like cougar alerts.

Ah, now there's a problem. Haven't noticed FL thunder staying away as nicely as OR thunder.

That`s what we want to do - be scattered in the woods. At least it will help the trees!

Dakota likes to play fetch and chase. Starts as a "normal" game of fetch, but after awhile, you throw the ball/stick/what ever and he stays put with the "it is your turn to get it" look. So, go collect the toy, and get over taken by the dog who is just trying to get you to play too.

Hardwood floors, leather furniture, frequent vacuuming. They actually don't shed that much, although Harry has just gotten done blowing coat and now Cash is at it. They're polite, though, and hang on to most of the dead undercoat until I brush it out. Daily brushing this time of year!

Seems like hourly at the moment! The big brown dog sheds as he eats right now.

See that's the fallacy. People think that short haired dogs don't shed as much as long haired ones, but they actually shed more. Long haired dogs get their undercoats caught in the outer coat and have to be brushed, but short haired dogs just let it fly.

I don't know if this is imagination but I find Bucket seems to shed more when it is hot and humid, hot and dry doesn't seem to activate it so much.
