Firehouse Angel Status

Hi Guys, Well, it looks like we will need a few more people to volunteer to stitch on the Angel. I hope it's OK with everyone that I am posting about this as there have been "rumbles" in the past posts that tend to make me feel as if a number of you are not happy with the way I am handling the Group Coordinator functions. Anyway, I know there were several who posted asking to be included if needed when we got towards the end. Dianne has posted saying there are several people whom she has "spoken" with about this. I have checked the website and Dianne has listed Angela L., Anne T., Joanna G., and Cheryl M. as being participants. I don't have their names on my list of stitchers who originally volunteered nor is there any mention of them actually stitching on the piece. Perhaps these are the people Dianne feels are the ones to be considered first if we need any stitchers. I will have to say that I am mystified as a result of this. I really had thought I was doing an OK job as "Group Coordinator" -- a job which required nothing more than keeping track of those who were on the list for stitching. Once the project was well under weigh and the stitchers list was set, I always posted and answered any e-mails from people asking to be included by saying that I would post when the time came IF we needed to add to the list. Obviously, I must have done something wrong if four people are on the list of Participants on Dianne's web page and I can find no mention of them in my notes nor find mention of them amongst the progress photos! Also, Dianne, would you be so kind as to ADD Janet W.'s name to the list of Participants? It seems that four people who have NOT stitched ARE on the list but Janet, who did the face, hands and neck over 1, is no where to be found!

Okay then. I know she was always known for a very quick, Scottish temper lol After that our similarity ends, she always walked around with those bits of feathers and furs, somehow they don't go well with jeans

I never heard much about a temper, just a sharp wit. (we may mean the same thing.)

And, a feather boa as a belt on the jeans could work!

Radios that don't rely on electricity are really useful in impovrished rural areas. They can be used for education, as you say, and can also give information like weather reports and market prices which are helpful for small farms. Sometimes low tech is the way to go. Dawne

It's adorable, but I only have it in traditional format and it probably wouldn't scan well due to the lack of contrast.
