We are staying home and the kids are all coming to see us! Yay! It isn't a long drive for any of them. 30 miles at the most. Fun! areomom
How are you spending Easter this year?

I am jealous. My kids are far far away so it will be three of us this Easter. Hubby, me, son still living at home. Getting out the good china though !
The kids have the week after Easter off school so we are going up to Canada to visit family for Easter and the break. This involves a 14 hour drive - which is why we only go once a year. I'm trying to decide which project to take. My wool pocket book in Irish stitch needs good light (I've just got my first pair of bifocals and it is trying doing needlework without good light - the joys of getting old). But I do have some new cotton yarn to make myself a top, with a fairly easy pattern, so I think this will be my choice. I also have wool for a fisherman knit sweater for my husband, but my MIL did one for him years ago and I'm sure she'll say something about my knitting - not necessarily nice, so I'll leave that at home.
Hope everyone has a great holiday. Margaret
I have been far, far away from home with DH and DD at holidays, so I know how you feel. But we did what you are doing. We brought out the good china and had big celebrations for just the three of us. Our now adult DD says those are some of her fondest memories. What is that old saying? "Bloom where you are planted" or something like that. aeromom
Happy holiday to you! I would be so pleased if either of my DILs knitted or did any kind of craft. Only my DD does crafts. She is so arts and crafts capable that she makes up for the rest of us. aeromom
Hopefully, enjoying my greenhouse. It's in pieces on the deck, but every time I get ready to put it up, it rains, I get sick, it rains, I have to work, it rains..... you get the picture.
Hey! It's supposed to snow for the next week here. Count your blessings. After the lovely weather we had next week I thought I would be planting sweet peas at Easter. Now I'm not so sure. You know it's cold when the cat turns around and runs back in.
I'm probably going to have Easter to myself so I think I should start planning a 'be good to Dora' weekend (low budget version).
Time to fix some hot lemon. (sniffle) Dora
We are having a guy come and give us an estimate to eliminate most of the back yard into a courtyard so we do not have to do the gardening any more ! You are so lucky to have had a green house though ; very impressed; hope it recovers soon and you as well !
In Rome! My choir's going on tour in Italy for a week, starting this Sunday, and my boyfriend and I are then going to head up to Rome for Easter Sunday afterwards. :D
