]Here's the bait ~ I got the store, I got the beads, I need ]a roommate and as I 'crank down' (I'm 62) I'll be wanting to work less ]in the shop, possibly start making kits or selling on the internet, ]wanting to downsize my shop and somebody could take over half of it (I ]originally leased two side by side shops and knocked out the wall). 8} ]Such a deal, LOL.

OH. [wondering how long it will take me to get there.]

Sarajane ~ You haven't been to my shop!?!? Bad girl - LOL. I'm just a few doors south of the Eggshell Restaurant at the corner of Olde Wadsworth and Ralston. I'm known for having the weirdest beads, 1200 sq. ft. of 'em. Please do come down. Saturdays are totally crazy but I'm open 7 days, short on Sun. and Mon. till 1:30....Yeah, I'm nutz I know. Will you be wearing a wed wose so I'll wecognize yew? Good grief - musta been around too many beads for too long, LOL.

I didn't join RMBS this whole year cause I was too busy but I've probably seen you at a meeting. Also, it was my shop that their group that Dale Z. organized called Loose Beads met at on the last Sunday for a year or so. Nancy Zellers taught a few classes there also. As a matter of fact she and I co-published an article in Beadwork around the first of the year and then I had another article in the following issue. Remember the Python Necklace? That was my thingie. The next one was a two-drop peyote bracelet covered in tiny drops.....I can't remember what Dustin named it.

Do you do Tucson in February? Heck, I'm practicaly packed up already! Can't wait.

. she needs to come to Calif and try her hand at bead ranching.... There's enough of us here that we can provide her the seed beads to get the first crop in.....

Imagine... 40 acres of pressed glass flower beads... Becki could make TONS of necklaces....>

ROTFL this is so great... and so Becki

I'm afraid she can't call it "40 acres and a mule " no matter what...

we have to come up with a suitable name - perhaps she will turn it into a Bead Commune.... and we can all descend on the place some week.... fill and old bathtub full of beads - take turns taking pictures of each other wearing nothing but beads, lampworkers can give demos and leessons, we can have a bonfire and make S'mores, drink champagne, and be decadent.... LOL

Let's dream out a beady name for this farm!

I even go as far as picking up all the homes for sale books

MOM and I both do that - but usually only when we are vacationing in Florida -- and dreaming we will win the lottery and stay there... lol

The natural disaster angle is true. In Ohio, we have tornados (or hurricanes, I don't know the difference. wind tunnels. funnel clouds. LOL) but I have never seen one. They are just words to me.

Tornado....

I live just "north" of the Tornado Alley saw the big one in 1974 that wiped Xenia Ohio....

Sandy, I'm ashamed to say it, but between back troubles and finishing two books in three years, I really haven't gotten out much until just recently. I haven't even been to bead society meetings in that time--just barely got out to do the Bead Renaissance last May! I don't drive, but I have beady friends that do---we'll organize a trip to your store..."the weirdest beads" is just too good to pass by!! Don't think I have a wed woses to wear, but I'll introduce myself..and I'll be wearing polymer clay beads! Sarajane

Sarajane, the trip to Auckland became a quick trip to drop my son of at the Viaduct Basin as he voluntered to help with the sailing ship Spirit of NZ. He has sailed on her before and this week is her 30 th birthday so tonight he is serving a meal for the Govenor General and others. I decided to come home and go up tonight to collect him. Weekends are precious as I work full time. I did stop at a NZ made shop and will call in again in 3 weeks with samples of my French beading flowers but no sign in Queen street(the main street] of bead shops. Will do some work on finding where they are. I think your contact in Christchurch will be the most helpful. Cheers, Jan who is going out to weed a rampant garden
